You see, some of my writing rather sexually explicit. I have, in the interest of promoting safer sex practices, written about such subjects as anal pleasuring. I have tried to do so in a way that is provocative and entertaining and still informative. Evidence has suggested that a laundry list of "Safer sex dos and don'ts" isn't doing the trick. Gay men know the basics. am not intending to about safer sex. ket it.

I am interested in your feelings about this issue. Should the paper include sexually explicit gay material to or should its policy be the content with non-gay in mind? Please send your to The Gay Peoples

The staff of the GPC would like to expand their readership and so are interested in distributing the in such places as Scoops & Ladles and Arabica. Their fear is that non-gay readers may take offense to my articles and may use them to further justify their stereo-types.

The lesbian/gay community service center, which for several years has been located on Fulton Ave., will be moving to newer and larger quarters by the end of December. The center will be at 1418 and 1422 W 29, and will be able to accomodate larger groups, as well as several groups at the same time. The hotline services will not be affected by the move. Dispelling Rumors

Rumors.

Kevin Kukoleck

The dictionary defines rumors as talk not based on knowledge; usually distortions of the truth. Some of you have heard the rumors about Emmanuel Metropolitan Community Church. There is no need to repeat them in this article because they are either distortions or untruths. I'd like to show you the truths about Emmanuel MCC.

Experiences Sought

Lesbian

Submissions are being sought for an anthology about the experiences of lesbians whose sexual assault or attempted sexual assault by men was motivated by anti-lesbian sentiment. By recognizing this extreme form of violence, the anthology seeks to empower survivors and expose the extent to which our homophobic society condones crimes against lesbians. survivors, victims, and their friends are invited to submit short stories, journal entries, poetry, political analysis, and essays. Selections will be published anonymously upon request, but a name and address must accompany all submissions. DEADLINE for submissions is March 1, 1988; extensions by writing, if necessary. Send to: Sharon Vardatira, Box 2304, Harvard Square in Station, Cambridge, MA 02238.

Yes, we are without a regular pastor at this time, but we are not without pastoral support. We are a member and receive support from the largest primarily Lesbian and Gay orgization in the world; the Universal Fellowship of Metropolian Community Churches. More visable support comes from our Great Lakes District. They are helping us fill our pastoral vacancy. At the same time, they are providing us with the names of pastors in our area to meet our immediate needs. With the help of the district, Rev. Joyce Speegle and Rev. Lynn Gorman from Akron Metropolitan Christian Church, and Rev. Carl Selman from Cascade Community Church we will have a sunday worship leader every week.

We are involved in a new begining. As the bible says Ephesians "Gods gifts (to us) were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some ministers, and teachers....' We at Emmanuel MCC are strong, committed, loving ministers. Our congregation needs us. Our Gay and Lesbian community needs us. Our specially abled community needs us. All of greater Cleveland needs to know about us. We will not let them down no matter what!

We have lived and loved and grown for over a year. Come help us live, love and grow into our second year and beyond.
